  • My heart goes out to Oliver Stone (Jewish, Christian, Buddhist) and his wife (Christian) on the news that their son converted to Islam in Iran and says that Iran poses no threat and is entitled to possess nukes. Maybe he missed that little Ahmadinejad comment about wiping Israel off the face of the earth.

      • Mike Bradford The only way they should is if the U.S. delivers them from a nuclear sub.

      • Cathy Savage Llama Ahmadinejad is just the president of Iran. If you knew anything about how that nation's system works, you'd know he is the secular leader while the religious mullahs....their cardinals....run the country. The Supreme Leader of Iran is Ali Khamenei. It is Khamenei who is the commander in chief of all armed forces of Iran.

      • Mike Bradford I am scared of any Islamic nation that wants nukes. Especially one who's President has no control over their military and the nuts do.

      • Allen Hunt So you are suggesting that Iran is not a threat, Cathy?

      • Allen Hunt My point is how painful it must be to be a parent whose child turns his back on the family's faith and their nation.

      • Cathy Savage Llama Iran is not a real threat. North Korea is unstable, loaded with chemical weapons, has a military on steroids and is working on getting nuclear weapons and is isolated. They are a much larger threat but, alas, they aren't a Muslim country.

      • Cathy Savage Llama You assume a lot when you say Oliver Stone's son has turned his back on his family's faith. Many Americans believe in true freedom of religion and that includes finding a faith one is content with. And nothing about his son's conversion says he has turned his back on America. In fact, his son's hopes are that all nations will find common ground and become closer to what many religion claim is their goal - world peace.

      • Allen Hunt Iran is not a real threat. President Obama and I both disagree with you, but good to know that you are optimistic. I hope you have no relatives in Israel.

      • Cathy Savage Llama Israel and Iran deserve each other. They are the only ones who will decide if mutual annihilation is a good plan. M.A.D. works as long as the Brits, the Russians and the US stays out of it.

As an atheist living in a southern baptist family, I do understand that it can be hard for the parents if a child rejects the traditional faith. However, i feel that if someing is universally true, as all religions claim to be, then the chi...ld should be allowed to find it on his or her own. The fact that this man converted to Islam and changed his foreign policy stance towards Iran (presumably, you can't know he didn't feel the same towards Iran before) should not be seen as a negative, but as another human being trying to make sense and give meaning to his life.See More

      • Salahaldin AlJaber Cathy is 100% correct Allen! I heard what you said on your show about the Oliver Stone issue. I have no problem with Iran. Please tell me when will you free yourself from the bonds of Israel. I am a muslim and an American, and I do not believe Israel, Saudi Arabia or any other country is worth American lives. How many young American lives do you think Israel is worth Mr. Hunt. Answer that on your show!

      • Allen Hunt Israel was created because the Jews were nearly exterminated once. And Iran has set its sights on trying to achieve that again. I will stand with Israel, which was created to prevent another Holocaust not make it easier to achieve.

Allen you are wrong! Iran is not set on destroying the Jewish people, and my proof of that is that there are a large number of Jews in Iran. Infact I believe that Iran has the largest number of Jews in the Arab states and Persian Gulf. Wher...e is your Holocaust? Iran has a problem with the state of Israel. That is none of your, mine or our country's buisness. I'll ask again my friend. How many young American lives is the STATE of ISRAEL worth? I say none, how about you?See More

      • Richard Rushing Oliver Stone was never a christian to begin with. Anyone can say their a christian, this man had never met Jesus, all he has is religion.
        February 20 at 5:43am
      • Keith Funderburk N. Korea is a threat also but if you don't think Iran is a threat, especially because of Ahmadinejhad. Fact are facts and ignoring them won't make the problem go away as some seem to want to do here.
        February 20 at 7:05am
      • Keith Funderburk The argument about Oliver Stone has nothing to do with facts about Iran. So..the Mullahs call the shots? How much you want to bet that if Ahmadinejhad call for a strike on someone that it would happen? Don't bet more than you can afford to lose.
