I'm re-standing to represent London member on the Labour Party's National Policy Forum. I've strived to go out across CLPs, reporting back and listening to members' views. If re-elected, I'll continue fighting to make the NPF more open & accountable.

I have received a text message from Fiona Twycross (another NPF candidate) asking me to vote for her. This means she was given my mobile number (I do not know her and did not give it to her).
This presumably means one of the following:
1) She was given the mobile numbers of all LP members in London - but it doesn't look ...as if other NPF candidates were.
2) She was given them by someone who received them for a different purpose (e.g. a leadership or mayoral candidate).
Neither of those sounds great.
I have written to Roy Kennedy (Labour Party Director of Finance and Compliance) to ask him what is going on. If anyone else out there has received such text messages (or emails) then I would encourage them to write to him as well.
Dave Lewis I've joined just because of the logo. That's enough to secure my vote.
I believe in giving people access to as much information to make their choice - allowing members to make an informed choice - not just who has access to the most contact details...
