Alumni Futures Here's a topic which I mentioned in my talk in Madrid last month: student bloggers. Good examples here, including classic, misguided "What if they say something bad?" anxiety from one administrator. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/02/education/02blogs.html

Dozens of colleges are embracing student blogs on their Web sites, seeing them as a powerful admissions tool.

I sure wish this conference were any time other than Homecoming week. It had conflicted with our Homecoming for the past three years.

That's good feedback Debbie. I will pass it along to the chairs. They are wondering about the role of timing, location and cost as obstacles to participation.

Alumni Futures I was quoted only slightly out of context in Time Magazine's article about reunions and Facebook. At least the author mentioned Alumni Futures!

www.time.com
The social networking site has made it easier to contact old high school friends. Is that hurting attendance at the big reunion?
