Louise Noble Hi everyone, my mum has Alzheimers she was diagnosed about 7 years ago and we have had to move her to a home this year. I am currently getting into training for a trek to raise money for Alzheimers Society that I am doing in Tanzania next year.

David Robertson Interested to hear people's thoughts and experiences with medication relating to controlling violent outbursts.

Pip Hi, I have just joined your group. My wonderful mum June has Alzheimers. She is very ill now, she has had it for about 13 years. My dad still cares for her at home and does a fabulous job - I am exceptionally proud of him. The Alzheimers Society in Basingstoke have been a great support in times of need for all of us. It is hard because I don't have much time with my dad to just talk. Pip

Maxine i have just started to work for the alzheimer's society i love my job i am a support worker x

Karen Bourne come and join its a worthy cause

Gemma Taylor I have just joined this group and would like to here from anyone who cares for a person with korsakoffs syndrome which is dementia related to alcoholism

Carol Warrener I have great respect for the Alzheimer's Society, for the care, commitment and support they offer to all! I hope that one day there will be a cure for this horrible disease. The Jackie Pool Training is very useful and I recomend it to all who work in caring for older people!

Sandra Zammit Hello to everyone who was at the Dementia congress in Harrogate. What an amazing event.

Just discovered this site.
12 years since my husband diagnosis.
It seems like 50 years.
Starting to be violent now.
That is the frightening part.

Jessica Does anyone have any ideas of activities in which people with dementia/alzheimer's can do. Thanks x
