Nancy Moss I loved your "common ground" story about late term abortions: http://tinyurl.com/nc6g4h

Source:New York Daily News.I found this image very powerful. Let's stop and say a prayer for the victims of 9-11 and of all terrorism.... and after that, how about a serious open thread discussion about Archbishop Timothy Dolan as papabili?
Joseph at 4:39pm July 3
There are enough possible schisms going on in Austria especially Linz to last a life time. Some of the priests in the Linz Diocese are right out belligerent. No bones about it.
All the Austrian Bishops met with Benedict, but, I think they merely said, "thank you" and went their merry way. From what I have been told, the problem is very acute and it looks like the only one to take care of it is Benedict himself with a reinforcement of the Motu Proprio,

OH, yes, these guys will swallow whatever he says: foot and feather. It will be all nice and negotiating words and nuance and all kinds of other nonsense that has absolutely no earthly value . .and afterward we will hear all "glee" .. .at times, we are "stupid is as stupid does".
Laura at 10:05am July 2
You could always sneak in under the guise of a White House tour, right? I've never been, so am not exactly sure how that would work...

I only became a "fan" of this page because I wanted to write a comment. I'm reading all of the posts on here and it seems to me that each and every person who puts a comment up about someone is judging that person. If I remember correctly, isn't that God's job? You may want to remember scripture...James 4:11-12 ESV /
Do not speak evil against ... Read Moreone another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?

Even when you're Catholic, you still search for a parish that resonates your ideas of the awe and resonance appropriate to God, and opportunities for spiritual development. However, if you're not Catholic, it can take much longer because you try almost any thing except he high churches; less of an automatic process of elimination, especially in the US where almost any one can make their own church up.

This new technology deserves a great deal of attention...

That is truly beautiful....

How wonderful! I wish we had this in my day...
I have an ultrasound of William @ 5 months in the womb
(we had lost his older sister, so he was considered an 'at risk' pregnancy). We got to see the development of his kidneys, count his fingers and toes. We found out that he was going to be a 'him'. ;-)
We saw him sucking his thumb. Now, he's 15; wish we could get him to stop! LoL... Read More
Kidding aside, this is absolutely astonishing. In the case of an 'unwanted' pregancy is not some amorphous mass from which a mother can dissociate herself - this puts a 'face' to the unborn person. If the mother sees this, one wonders how she could not love the miracle within her. She is part of God's plan that His creation should continue... If she really could appreciate how important she and her child were... I hope this technology can assist in underscoring the reality...

Linda at 2:26pm June 30
Every time I've heard the "dialogue/common ground/work together" language used by pro-abortion people, the compromise is always expected by them to be purely on the pro-life side. They never give ground, and when we try to "play nice" they throw it back with comments that we weren't' really seriously opposed to their positions in the first place.

AmericanPapist is impressed that AmP fanpage comments are approaching the same numbers as AmP blog comments. do most of you read the blog too or just stay in facebook? I'm curious....

It's a straightforward concept, requiring no elaborate explanation from yours truly.I'm going to pray for John Dingell of Michigan.People who choose Pelosi should probably get some sort of special indulgence.

How many in that 54% were PRACTICING Catholics?
Joseph at 4:47pm June 29
As for the 54 percent; it's hard to tell . ..we call them Catholic Sometimes. . . . .we as clergy have done a terrible job in educating the Catholic Community . . .we need an entire revamp of our religious education system . . .we closed too many of our elementary schools at the parish level .. .the Sisters went elsewhere.

A bit of breaking news to the posting you had on June 09 (http://www.americanpapist.com/2009/06/bo ston-archdiocese-affiliate-health.html) is that Caritas has pulled out of the agreement with Centene (please - no jokes) due to abortion providers being part of the package. true, but given the seriousness of the allegations, you would figure the Vatican would move post-haste.
