I'm very happy that pro-lifers defeated abortion supporters in the NJ and VA gubernatorial races.

Had they not chosen a RINO to start with for NY23, we would have had those 5% of voters who voted for Dede on a true Republican candidate. Overall, I am very very happy with the results though.

These results are not the "snowball rolling downhill". There is still much work, much prayer, much discussion to do. Today the Dem spin will be that it is "no big deal". But they are already planning to stop this interruption of their agenda of destruction.

Don't let up. 2010 is only one year away. Throw all the bums out.

Tom, I'm thrilled! Great news in Maine! Too bad about Hoffman, but it was close, and the GOP got a spanking. Palin looked up, and Newt down. The big story is independents and even conservative DEMS will join the energized GOP base to stop the Obamanations and Pelosi/Reid. I am extremely encouraged!

Good showing in the first skirmish, but there is a lot of fighting to do for LIFE. We are nowhere near anything like a victory--but the skirmish went well for the side of Life.

While Hoffman was a disappointment, the results are very encouraging. The Lord has answered our prayers in convincing a majority of Maine voters to preserve marriage as the union between a man and a woman. And NJ now has a pro-life Roman Catholic (what an odd thing to say as it should be natural for a Roman Catholic to be pro-life) governor. It was a good day but we have a long way to go and the battle is not yet over. But it was a good day - Deo Gratias!

Joan... there was a "gay marriage" referendum that went under the radar because it didn't actually use the word marriage. Basically, gay couples were given all the privileges that hetero couples have. Next step is for the courts to say, "Oh, well they are basically the same thing, so let's just simplify things and call it marriage." This is significant because other states will likely employ the same tactics to get GM legislation passed.

I definitely see the results as a bit of a whiplash to liberals who are trying to force legislation (economic/healthcare/moral) down our throats. People are starting to realize what's goin' on.
