AMIDEAST wishes you an Eid Mubarak!
AMIDEAST This summer AMIDEAST brought together 24 young women from all over the Middle East for two weeks of hands-on training in business and banking. While in the United States, the students from Oman, Jordan, Lebanon, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates visited banking and business institutions in Washington DC and Chicago,... such as the FDIC, the American Banker’s Association, and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. They were also hosted for a day at the headquarters of HSBC, the banking giant and sponsor of the program. In addition, the program consisted of ten days of special courses at Wilson College which taught the students how to develop and present a business plan, and gave them a taste of American dorm life. The women considered the program to be a great success and many came away confident that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to start businesses in their home countries.
