Q: Speaking of drive, have you seen the movie Anvil [the documentary about a perennial-loser metal band] that's currently making the rounds? The documentary is interesting, highlighting their rise and fall and their drive to keep making rock'n'roll.
Jon Bon Jovi...: I loved it, really did love it. I think I'm one of the four people in the world who knew who they were. They show a shot of a Japanese show, and they were the opening band and we were the next one up at that show. It was us, them and Whitesnake and Michael Schenker and the Scorpions. What I loved most about it was everything the guy said was with a smile – he just loves to play the guitar. After the documentary, they didn't get big, they got to open for AC/DC around here.Read More

Just received the movie yesterday... It is an amazing story of friendship, dedication and perseverance. These are real, nice, down-to-earth guys who just happen to play in one of the most kick-ass metal bands EVER. I have been a fan of Anvil since the beginning (I bought HARD AND HEAVY, METAL ON METAL and FORGED IN FIR...E on vinyl as a teenager and still own them). After watching this movie, I feel like I actually know Lips and Robb, and I am quite sure they would be good friends to have!Read More

This really brought tears to my eyes as well as hope its such an inspiring film.I guess we as fans really take it for granted sometimes I guess yeah we know its hard playing this music but rarely get behind the scenes as this has,especially the scene where lips and Rob fought,the shitty way they were not paid etc,I ha...ve always been a fan I have all the records and cds except the live one and "this is thirteen" I am going to try and find it for sure though great film and best of luck guys your true fans have and always will support ya!Read More
