I wanted to do a math class over the summer with my daughter who is entering 7th grade in the fall. If I then purchase the 5 core subjects for the monarch program in fall will I be able to upgrade the math level to the 8th grade level? Does it allow for some flexibility?

So I have a question.... I have purchased curriculum to hs our children who are 10 and 8. I'm doing a trial run this summer to see how they would do with the hs routine and also how I would do with having them at home all the time and with me helping them with their instruction. My biggest fear is that I will mess up our children by keeping them at home with me. I'm a bit of a skeptical person when it comes knowing if I'm capable of teaching our kids what they need to know in order to prepare them for the future and college. I don't want them to grow up resenting me bc I homeschooled them. Can anyone give some insight and encouragement for a confused and scared mom like me?? Thank you.

    • I spent 12 years of my life on AOP in homeschool. It's an excellent curriculum that I'll be using if the Lord allows me to have a wife and children someday!

    • Julia asks: When we have shared with others (friends, preschool teachers, & even church family) back when we were just even considering the idea of homeschooling, it felt like they took verbal bats to us. Any advice on how to respond nicely to such negative comments from people?
