Appalachian State University Appalachian State University's cycling team is back-2-back national champions after winning the 2009 USA Cycling National Championship! The team now has three national championships; 2008 Mountain Bike, 2008 Cyclocross, 2009 Cyclocross.

Appalachian State University Congratulations to Michael Thomas on his individual national title for a second year
at the USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships in
Truckee, Calif. He was one of seven Appalachian
students, representing the 2008 Division II National Championship
team, who attended the competition where nearly 300 student-athletes
competed Oct. 16-18.
