About Bicycle
BICYCLE's webserver was involved in the "Great Houston Datacenter Explostion" of 2008. I expect the site to be back up tonight (Monday). Please be patient!
Do you ride a bike? iBike is a cycling community for Facebook. Upload pictures of your bikes and have them displayed in your profile. You can check out what other members are riding, leave comments and log your rides too.
2/23/08 Update
You can now write ‘notes’ that will appear on the home page, your iBike profile and, if you choose, your Facebook profile. The purpose of notes is open-ended:
- Rant or rave about bicycle culture
-Post an interesting link
-Ask a question or two
As with bikes, you can upload pictures and others can leave comments on your notes.
This feature should improve interaction between users and promote quality bike-related discussion.
11/26/07 Updates
- "Favorite Bikes" feature: Add bikes to your favorites list (which will appear in your iBike profile).
11/12/07 Updates
- Network Pages (beta): You can now find riders, bikes, items for sale, events and discussions from within your networks. From the iBike homepage, click the "My Network" tab.
- Search now searches for bikes and networks.
- New server. iBike is now much faster.

8/13/07 Updates
After far too long (and several requests from users), you can now keep track of your rides. From your iBike profile (or the homepage), click the "New Ride" link. You can log your mileage, upload pictures, leave comments, etc. Rides show up under the "My Rides" section of your profile.
For an example, check out my profile here. I've kept track of all of my summer riding.
Thanks to Liam Quigley for helping me with this feature. Much more coming soon.
6/24/07 Updates
-You can now comment on images and user profiles, in addition to bikes.
...many more features coming soon (I realize the homepage is starting to become a little overwhelming)
Please send me your thoughts, comments and suggestions.
