Fake Piece of SHIT
by Juliana at 7:04am
These causes don't just require memberships or stupid post with rantings about how fucked up our world is. It won't get the attention of the right people.
All I'm saying is..people are blaming other people for the shit that happens in our world, and us humans don't even realize that even our slightest miscreances of global usage is what brings us to this unpleasant world.
Why don't we start changing the world by atleast changing ourselves. Become better people. I know polution is difficult to control, but atleast recycle properly and allow a small portion of your income as much as20 cents a day to help a hungry child from a third world country. You'd be suprised how much our shitty American dollar is worth around THOSe regions.
So lets stop being ignorant.
Instead of blaming others for this world we have today..Lets take a deeper look at ourselves...even the slightest error we're making with our enviorment could be done multiples of times. We can't change the world UNLESS we change ourselves, but we can do it//lets start with OURSELVES....it doesn't matter who you are.
We all make mistakes, but we have the power to correct them.
Most Important Application on Facebook
by Josh at 8:01am on May 9th, 2008
I love this application and a good number of the causes created, bringing true awareness of this world's issues that people NEED to get involved in. No one can do it all, but together we can cover a good amount. More and more people need to be made aware of these issues, and that's why it truly troubles me that the amount of people we can invite is so small. Other applications, fun and games and art and beauty, that stuff can have small invitation limits, but not this. This is a window into something too important, and yes, with Karen I agree that the US-centricity of the causes is a major blindness to the rest of the world, which is bigger, but I by no means wish to minimize the troubles here in America, which are legion. All in all, good application.
Crappy!

I've been trying to create a cause - it won't let me upload any photos (why is it mandatory to even HAVE A PHOTO?) also, if you want to search existing causes, it's only good for the USA - showing ONLY US states.

Hate to tell ya, but it's bigger world than that..... How about you remove the mandatory picture and add te rest of the globe.

GET PAID TO SOCIALIZE
A couple facts...

1) Facebook makes over $8 million a MONTH from advertising alone.
2) Myspace makes almost $25 million

WE, the users, don't get any of this, even though WE are the ones making the pages, writing the blogs and uploading the pictures!

There's a brand new social networking site which actually pays its members just to use it!

The site has all of the features of facebook, but here's the best bit, the more you use it, the more you get paid!

You think Facebook has everything you need- That's fine! I love facebook, and only use this site to make money.

A suggestion
by Carolyn at 5:55am on May 3rd, 2008
The Causes application is excellent, and I am happy that the creators have provided a way for Facebook members to contribute to our culture and world in a meaningful way. In my opinion, Causes is the most useful application on Facebook. One suggestion, however, is that I would like to see all the causes of which my friends are members, not just the ones they've joined recently. I would like to browse my friends' causes specifically, as I'm more likely to join the causes my friends support than the hundreds of thousands of causes I may or may not randomly stumble upon. Perhaps this is already possible, and I just haven't figured out how to do it. Thank you.

Zack, you can ban members only if they have posted something inflammatory to the cause. There is a blue "ban" link under their post. You can't delete members arbitarily. It is not publicized in a feed or anything, the member is simply banned and all their posts are deleted.

Kelli, I would just search for "Legalize Marijuana" and related phrases in the Causes Search box which is in the upper right hand corner of your Causes homepage.

Christine, when you're inviting people, our invite tracker tells you who you have invited, who's actually joined, and whose invitation is still pending.

Josh, did you leave the cause or did you just click "hide cause from profile"? It can take awhile to reflect the changes. If it's still not reflecting a cause you've left or hidden from your Causes profile box, email support@causes.com with: 1. a link to your Facebook profile, 2. a link to the cause you tried to leave, and 3. an explanation of whether or not you tried to hide the box or left the cause.

Tammy, you should make sure that your other donation went through. If you did not receive a confirmation email receipt for the second, it most likely did not go through. Please e-mail us the receipt for the second donation if you got one, and info about your donation attempt to support@causes.com

Tracey -- We'd appreciate it if you didn't call our application a "dodgy 'earn more money' scheme" as we're not the ones posting the spam. As you've probably noticed, Facebook has been invaded by a lot of spammers/bots that post these things and we can only delete them from the Discussion Board and the Wall. You can take it up with Facebook personally (Causes is created by our company, Project Agape, not Facebook) at info@facebook.com as they work on removing the spam from the reviews. Thanks for your support. If you're actually searching for a cause in the Cause search field in the upper lefthand corner, you'll be relieved to find only actual cause.

How do you delete memebers? You should be able to make it private.

What crap!!! This has become an advertising page and nothing more. I was looking for a REAL cause not some dodgy "Earn more money" scheme!
