SpeedGranting is an entertaining way to help make a change in the world by directing seed money to worthy projects. Every two weeks or so we set a new theme and the project with the most votes wins the cash-- typically between $500 and $2,000.

There are a few ways to participate in SpeedGranting:

  • Submit Proposals – Submitting your project and attracting votes gives you a chance to win funding. Your project may be well established or it might be something you've always wanted to do but lacked the cash to start-- as long as it's goal is to make positive change, you can throw your hat in the ring.

  • Vote – Whether you are trying to win money for your own project or just want to help, voting is how you can make a difference. At the end of each contest you can check back to see if the proposal you voted for wins.

  • Get others involved – Even if you don't submit a proposal, you can recruit other Facebook members to cast their vote. The more people are involved, the more impact we can have on the world.

It's time to make a change on Facebook and SpeedGranting is the easiest way to do it-- and with someone else's money! All you need to do is let the world know about great projects and cast your vote. We'll take care of the rest. So go add the application to help others!

Ask your Senators to support The Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Management Act. It passed the House in April 2008 and is in front of the Senate this summer.

If passed, FAAMA will provide schools across the country with uniform guidance on how to create appropriate management and emergency plans for children with food allergies. The bill will direct the Secretary of Health and Human Services to develop a voluntary policy for schools to implement measures to prevent exposure to food allergens and to ensure a prompt response if a child suffers a potentially fatal anaphylactic reaction.

Please help protect our children!

Vote for WMCKI's "Strike Out ALS!" event, we're raising money to fight Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS) and 100% of what we raise goes to the ALS Association!
