A National Network of Local Support to Keep America's Blood Supply Healthy.
Takes All Types is a new grassroots organization allowing users to register to be volunteer Blood Donors and receive alerts when they are needed to donate.
This is the first centralized national network of local blood donors and volunteers. The mission is to improve communities' local blood supplies by amassing a network of blood donors across the United States and then we send personalized alerts targeted by geography and blood type when our users are needed to donate. Takes All Types uses social networking tools like Facebook and real-time communications (email, texts, RSS, etc) to improve our nation’s blood supply during emergencies, and generally. Its platform will become the go-to location when blood supplies are needed in particular areas.

About Takes All Types
Takes All Types is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping solve the country's emergency blood problems. Its focus is to provide a centralized Web network along with social media applications and web networking capabilities to register local blood donors via communities like Facebook and at www.takesalltypes.org. This network will help improve local blood supplies by boosting donor participation on a routine basis, and by providing an innovative means of coordinating blood collection logistics.
Poor communication, not blood availability, is the hindrance to abundant blood donations. After all, there are many potential blood donors available – the issue lies with making blood supply levels known. By creating the first network of blood donors across the United States, Takes All Types will mobilize registrants locally to supplement blood supplies where they're need most, without creating additional surpluses.
