UPDATES
Sept 5, 2008 - We are in the process of adding the ability for users to report misbehavior and we are actively working on a system to suspend accounts of users who have too many legitimate complaints against them. Please see http://www.new.facebook.com/topic.php?topic=5063&uid=23407989533 for more details.
Sept 2, 2008 - Added a per-day gifting limit. The limit is set reasonably high (and it goes up as you level up), so you probably won't hit it very often unless you've been using "gifts" to faciliate cheating with multiple accounts.
Aug 29, 2008 - We've added the Galactic Outpost feature which will allow users to complete offers for in-game rewards. Since it's new it may have a few kinks that still need to be worked out. Please leave us feedback in the forums so we can quickly address your concerns. Thanks and happy raiding!
Aug 11, 2008 - Facebook is no longer allowing us to give bonuses just for sending invites. Instead, you will receive the bonus once the invite is accepted. Make sure to pick friends who you think will accept the invite! We have also tripled the bonus amount.
July 31, 2008 - Two new features! 1. Keep your money safe by depositing it into the Bank (for a fee). And if one of your crew members is stolen, the money you get back goes into the bank automatically for free. 2. Help out, or bribe, other players by sending them gifts. You can send any item you own, as long as the recipient is a high enough level to use it.
July 22, 2008 -All jobs and items have been rebalanced! Raiders will now find that it makes sense to buy higher level and more expensive items. In addition, several new armaments have been added to the store! Also, the Battle page now does a better job of filtering out players who are too weak too fight.
Updated: some of the items were moved to unlock at a higher level. If you already bought one or more of those items, don't worry, you still have them. Until you reach the level they re-unlock, you can't buy any more, but you can sell the ones you already had if you want. Sorry for the confusion!
July 18, 2008 - Your profile now has an optional 'about me' section, which you can use to describe yourself, greet crew members, taunt opponents, coordinate attacks, etc.
July 16, 2008 - Updated the damage formula for battles to be more balanced and let players battle more often.
July 15, 2008 - Only crew members who are actually in the game (min. level 1) can participate in battles—these are your active crew. Attack and armor for several items (mostly low-level) have been adjusted. Vehicles and ships are now separate from Armaments and in their own category.
July 14, 2008 - Point values for jobs have been modified (unlocking level, experience gained, money gained, probability of success) for most jobs level 20 and below. It should be a bit more balanced (and profitable) to do jobs now. Stay tuned for more changes on this!
July 11, 2008 - The "Battle" page now excludes your current crew leader as well as all members of your own crew. You can still battle these people, if you really want to, from their profile page.
July 10, 2008 - We are actively working on game balance and mechanics. If you have any suggestions please click here to post them on our forum.
July 9, 2008 - We have just upgraded each commander's control interface so you can clearly see how much experience you need to reach the next level!
