The Neighborhoods application was originally launched in July of 2007, and is the biggest local and neighborhood-focused application on Facebook today. By using this application, you will meet and connect with the people in your neighborhood. The application shows you who lives close to you, what they're up to, and what is happening in your neighborhood. Get to know your new or future neighbors today!

With Neighborhoods you get these features:

- Neighborhood profile page
- Discuss your neighborhood on your neighborhood bulletin board
- Connect with people that live in your neighborhood
- Check out or research neighborhoods near you, or neighborhoods you are interested in
- Share and find updated neighborhood-wide information
- Spy inside your neighbor’s house with the Neighborhood’s spy cam! Ok, we made that up, but we know you were into it
- Give advice and offer suggestions to new or long-term neighbors about neighborhood or city favorites
- Locate homes that are for sale in your neighborhood, and share them with friends who are in the process of looking for a home
