About Preserving the Institution of Marriage
The California Supreme Court ruled 4 to 3 to legalize same-sex marriage. Proposition 8, would amend the state constitution, define marriage as between a man and a woman, protect religious freedom and allow same sex partners the same legal rights.

We support Proposition 8 in order to to protect traditional marriage and religious freedoms. We believe that we can love someone while still maintaining and advocating our standards and beliefs. In California, the law provides for marriage-related benefits to be given to civil unions and domestic partnerships. Proposition 8 does not diminish these benefits.
