What are Slates?
Slates are a new way for creating and editing web pages and documents like blogs, resumés, news stories, press releases, books and papers. Even start a wiki.

What can I do with Slates?
Write a Blog, some poetry, announce your product. Write your resumé. Create your own newspaper. Start a wiki. Create video and photo presentations. Write and organize a book. When you finish, publish directly to your mini-feed and all your friends.

How do Slates work?
Slates can be organized by chapter or topic, and edited with our easy to use WYSIWYG editor. You can view and revert to previous versions, insert images directly from your Facebook albums, allow your friends to edit sections, and collaborate and share ideas.

Privacy
You can keep everything private or allow just friends to view your work. Assign your friends to be editors so you can collaborate or create a wiki. If you want to make your work public, you can even publish to the Facebook news feed and to a syndicated RSS feed.

What do I need?
Slates works with Firefox, IE 5.5 and higher in Windows, Opera and Safari on both Windows and Mac. There are some problems with older versions of browsers. We highly recommend using Firefox, which you can download for free here

Slates can contain the same content that a normal web page uses. This includes text, images, videos, links to other files, etc. If you can think of it, you can use a slate to present it!
