GuruLib is a free web service to organize your home library. Catalog your books, DVDs, music CDs, games and software online using a book shelf metaphor.

Search from over 530 Public Libraries
GuruLib can access over 530 public libraries around the world to collect cataloging information about hard to find books, movie, music, games and software. If your local library supports Z39.50 protocol, GuruLib can search it!
Retreives and displays information from UPC or ISBN
Scan the UPC or ISBN using a barcode reader, webcam or manually type in, Gurulib will fetch all relevant cataloging information including the image of the front cover from several online resources.
Add books or DVD from the barcode image captured using webcam or digital camera
Using a webcam or digital camera capture an image of the barcode from the back of the book or the DVD cover and then upload it to GuruLib. GuruLib uses cutting edge image recognition algorithms to extract the ISBN or UPC code from the barcode image and then automatically retreive all essential information about the book or DVD from either Amazon databases or from public libraries around the world.
