A Cure for Cancer

I am a cancer researcher and I have created this app in order to allow you to show your support or donate directly to scientists like me who work in university laboratories. In order to get believable data we spend thousands of dollars a day, and we could work even faster if money were no object.

I also lost my father to cancer, which is what led me to immunology. Immunology is the manipulation of your (or a donor's) immune system to clear your body of cancer. As a matter of fact we get cancer all the time, but our bodies clear it before it gets out of hand, just like a virus. Occasionally the tumor evades the body, and thus we manifest disease. This is why I, and everyone else in the field of immunology, believe so much in what we do. Immunology can cure cancer, any cancer, so there is hope.

Now with this facebook application I am attempting to bring sufferers closer to those who know what therapies hold the greatest current hope. Then you can chase it down, or persuade your doctor to do so. As I know you are currently spending hours researching cures on the internet, I can promise you that from where I am sitting there is always a new trial going on.

We have no economic incentive behind what we tell you. We only want you to get the right treatment, because we've been faced with primary caregivers that didn't know how to say "I don't know," and it cost me my father's life.

So go post on http://cancerfocus.net or even here, and we'll see what we can do.
