Read Moreretirement pay to be reduced by any VA payments that they may get. Folks, we are not talking about a lot of money for these 'Wounded Warriors' as the total that they get. Many of these folks took IED blasts to the head/back or have TBI and could not serve longer in the military. They get about $1500 per month from the DOD which is then reduced by whatever the VA qualifies them for. They average about $30,000 + in annual pays minus any taxes and extra costs (around the house, living) due to the injuries. This amount will go down about 40% with Obama's plan to deal with this (concurrent receipt of DOD pay and VA pay phased in over 5 years )

Items that would GREATLY improve Republican chances in coming elections: 1. Do a better job educating the public on what is happening. This could be done with more ads and more grass roots functions. For example, Obama is shutting down cost of living raises for VA, DOD, SSI, Medicare, etc... for the next 3 years costing seniors/veterans about $... Read More100 per month on average by 2012...yet no one seems to know this fact. 2. Narrow the field to only 2 potential Nominees through a Republican run process before the "party Nomination vote". This would eliminate the concept of too many candidates "spliting" votes and someone gaining power simply due to the "spliting" of 2 other candidates. 3. Recruit a "pool" of potential Republican candidates in each state, each year and send them to a 1 week school in that state to educate them on the Republican and political system; to include getting in elections, raising money, party communication, legal aspects, etc......(ie 50 schools each year).

Good to see the Party moving forward and embracing technology.

Looks much better then previous, but do we have a simplier place to input schedules, etc.? A definite move in the right direction.

Loren, I think you can be a fan and not a repub. You don't want to dis your Dad, but maybe the repubs in AR do things that make your life better?

THe time is now and the need for a massive grassroots effort is beyond belief. Evryone needs to support strong conservative candidates at your local, county, state, and national level. We need to find our core values and use them to return our country on its rightful path.
