U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan today released the final application for more than $4 billion from the Race to the Top Fund, which will reward states that have raised student performance in the past and have the capacity to accelerate achievement gains with innovative reforms.

National Art Education Association Fellowships for Arts Educators Through the Surdna Foundation Arts Teachers Fellowship supports the artistic revitalization of outstanding teachers from public arts high schools throughout the United States. Eligible schools include specialized public arts high schools, as well as arts-focused, magnet, and charter high ......schools. The program offers arts teachers the opportunity to immerse themselves in their own creative work, interact with other professional artists, and stay current with new practices. This importance is especially true if one expects to survive and continue to exhibit and thrive as a visual artist.
