Heath Bunting - River Avon Canoe Pilot

Bristol-based artist and activist Heath Bunting will talk us through his toolkit for the on-going River Avon Canoe Pilot, where art meets sport meets... green politics. For the past two years, Bunting has taken unlikely canoe trips in all weathers, mapping changes in the course of the river and revealing the urban wild to his companions.

Alia Syed - A Story Told

Experimental filmmaker and artist Alia Syed's A Story Told will be presented as an open studio. Originally produced with the support of a decibel artists' award, A Story Told creates an environment in which the telling of the story is experienced by the audience as a sequence of sounds and images that originate from projections, some incorporating her own body and voice.

Evangelia Baskedis - I Trust You

In the performance, I Trust You, Basdekis’ relentlessly sews her skin in an acute exploration of pain and politics. Over one day the artist silently embroiders the sole of her foot, gradually creating the image of Mickey Mouse. In one space Basdekis is immersed in her gruesome needlework, whilst in an adjacent space a live video relay offers a mediated distance on the performance.
