i really want to try making the shrimp dumplings (har gow) but i dont have any wheat starch? any tips on a substitute? in Saudi, we kinda have the same idea for the dumpling except we use raw ground meat, stuff the dumplings then steam them. the texture of the wrapper is soft too and the recipe for that is only regular... flour and water with a bit of oil. I'm not sure if that works for the Har Gow, would you mind please letting me know if there's a substitute for wheat starch?

Yy C the marble cake i made today spent 1 1/2 hr in the oven before its done. could it be the batter was too cold? and it tasted wasn't as good as the cupcake (i used the remaining chocolate batter to make them, which only baked for 30 mins). not so sure what was the problem =~=
