David Scott Bunegar i do not care who you are, I am loving Matthew Corbett series, and I usually only read horror. thank you for writing again

Fatirah Aziz Wow! How much do I love your work; let me count the ways. 'Swan Song' is my true favorite, but 'The Wolf's Hour' is a close second. And 'Stinger'!! I wish I hadn't read them, so I could read them fresh, but anyway, I've read them all at least twice. :-)

Kevin McCormick
Dear Robert. I love your books. I think that BAAL and THEY THIRST are not novels-they are literature. In my humble opinion, only Christopher Marlowe has a better command of the English language than you do.
But then again he didn't write those masterworks-as above.
I would love though if you would write a sequel to THEY THIRST. As I would love to know if Palatazin ever got to release his father Emil from his Hellish state. In THEY THIRST, Vulkan makes reference to the Countess who resided in the Deconsecrated monstery on Mount Jaeger.
I think that it would be a criminal waste of your talent as a writer to neglect a sequel to THEY THIRST. As I have been patiently waiting the last 25yrs for a sequel. P.s I can't seem to get your books in the U.K

Wayne C. Rogers I can't believe it's been over thirty years since I read your first novel. You know, you look older, but you still have that happy smile!

Peggo Person
Hi. I'm a Gone South fan.
I've read all your books at least once. Gone South speaks to the weirdness in me. I'm looking forward to the new one.
Thanks for writing.

Tracy Bagwell West Still need to find a copy of Queen of Bedlam... I'm so behind! :(

Robert McCammon Great Name. You probably wouldn't believe how many people think I am you. I have some fun with it at times.

Kyle Bakke Hey, Hunter, there's gonna be enough copies of Mr. Slaughter - I'm referring to the 24.95 version - to go around, right? We shouldn't be in a mad rush to pre-order, should we? Just wondering. I'd be pretty bummed if I couldn't get my hands on a copy.
Robert McCammon at 6:47am June 17
Yes, there should be plenty. The book will be distributed by Ingram, so it should be in bookstores everywhere (or at least orderable by bookstores everywhere).
It's listed on Amazon now, but it's the same price (currently) as directly from Subterranean Press.

Jazz musician Timo "The Doc" Heikkinen has composed a song using the opening poem from Robert McCammon's BOY'S LIFE as the lyrics. You can view a recent performance of the song by The Doc and the Professional Help on YouTube.
Pretty nifty!

Graeme Harris A big fan of Swan Song and Wolf's Hour. Favourite character - Lord Alvin. What a nut job! All the best from England :)
Cathi at 8:55am June 22
Lord Alvin is one of the most frightening McCammon characters ever!

Alison Mistretta Boy's Life is my favorite book of ALL time and I have been an avid reader since I was in 3rd grade.
Dana at 7:54pm June 2
Mine, too! I love that book like a rat loves cheese!

Subterranean Press has posted the following Mister Slaughter update on their site: Robert McCammmon's latest historical thriller, Mister Slaughter, is proceeding very smoothly toward publication...

Katie ONeill Does anyone know if there are fireflies about in Alabama and Tennessee right now?
Carole at 11:03am June 6
Had not heard that, Dana. I am in Arlington, VA and usually see quite a lot of them. But haven't paid attention this year because we've had so much rain. I will watch for them now. We're missing honeybees, now fireflies. Can't lose the fireflies!
Carole at 12:17pm June 23
Firefly watcher report: I also am seeing virtual carpets of fireflies in Arlington, VA. This isn't exactly a rural oasis. But in places with grass, trees, dim outdoor lighting, the fireflies are there. Now if I could just lure back some hummingbirds.

John James Gallimore Bring on Mr Slaughter! Also looking forward to Subterranean's limited release of McCammon's older stuff.

Mark Miles I can hardly wait for the new book. I think you are among today's best authors.

Russell I was in the middle of reading Swan Song, the first book of McCammon's that I've read, and my girlfriend pointed out that he lives just down the street from her house! I had no idea we had such a great writer in the neighborhood! Hopefully I can get his autograph once I'm done reading the book.

Benjamin J. Schmidt
Hey Robert McCammon,
I really enjoyed reading "Boy's Life," and "Gone South." They both are really good books and I highly recommend them to teenage readers. I think if people have a problem with your books they should read "A Day That No Pigs Would Die." Thats a good one too.
Keep writing good stuff.
Benjamin J. Schmidt

Andrew Scorah i'm glad you are back writing youre books saw me through my teens and beyond lol

Pat
I'm looking forward to the day when I can read Speaks The Nightbird, The Queen of Bedlam and Mister Slaughter. I LOve Mccammon but was hurt by his abandonment of the millions of fans he dearly disappointed when the books ended during his sabatical. I still though Hope and pray for the Wol ves Hour to continue on. Wonder if Anne Rice reads his historical novels. The imagination of R, McCammon left me awake at the most dire hours of the evening. MUST get started back into Robert (Bobby anyone) now that his imagination is once again on fire.
