TOUR FROM COCA TO IQUITOS PERU / 8 DAYS
DAY 1: After breakfast we leave from Coca by canoe to the Napo river and have lunch at Panacocha, a small beach along the river. We continue by canoe to Nuevo Rocafuerte at the Peruvian border. We stay two nights in a hostel in Nuevo Rocafuerte. (10 hours by canoe)
DAY 2: After bre...akfast we go to the Jatuncocha lagoon and the Yasuni river where you can observe pink dolphins. LITO frontera, nadar en la laguna, piranha fishing, tucanes We have lunch there and take a rest before going to the Malecón Rocafuerte. Visita del museo artesanal, camping (1,5 hours by canoe)
DAY 3: We register our passport at the immigration office and cross the border to Perú. We continue to the Cocaya lagoon and have lunch there. The lagoon will be our camp for the next night. In the afternoon there will be more activities like jungle walks or piranha fishing. You can also observe caimans at night. After dinner you have the possibility to relax at the camp. (1,5 hours by canoe)
DAY 4: We continue to Puerto Pantoja, where we will stay in a hostel. We will walk around in this Peruvian village to see how the local people live. On the way you can observe a lot of river dolphins (1,5 hours by canoe)
DAY 5: We leave Pantoja by canoe and have lunch at a beach later on. On the way you can visit a shaman, drink Ayahuasca or do a cleaning there. After that we continue to Santa Clotilda, where we will spend the night in a hostel. You have the possibility to walk around in the afternoon and shop in one of the artwork shops. You will have the opportunity to relax after dinner. (10 horas)
DAY 6: Today we go to Puerto Mazan where we will spend the night. (10 hours by canoe)
DAY 7: From Puerto Mazan we visit indigenous quichua communities at the shore of the Napo river. Here you can drink Chicha, a typical drink made out of corn, with one of the local families.
DAY 8: We take a moto taxi to the Amazonas river. From there we continue by high speed canoe to Iquitos. After a city tour in Iquitos the tour finishes. (1 hour by moto taxi/canoe)
COST PER PERSON PER DAY $125.00
THE COST INCLUDES: transport Coca – Iquitos by river or by road, life jackets, accomodation in tents, basic hostels or cabañas, hoteles, rubber boots, rain coats, payment of US$ 20 for the entry to the Yasuni National Park, three meals a day (exception: day 1 – without breakfast - and day 8 – without dinner), drinking water, certified guide and taxes.
THE COST DOES NOT INCLUDE: transport by plane of bus from Quito to Coca.
