Katrina Bathurst is too expensive to take my kids to, we will never be able to afford the tickets to enjoy the race live :(

Jim Montgomery Drove in a team of Mini's in the 60's after we did the first of the Armstrong 500's down at Philip Island. The cars had to be close to road models -'homologated' - In those days your pit crew tended to be your girl friends and their main task was to make lunch and the bottom of Pit Straight had no kink you just went ba...ck to Bathurst thru a couple of hay bales.

Kevin Peter Hicks I still religiously watch Bathurst, but it is not as good since it became a holden / ford race I liked the different categories and the skill that was required to pass these slower vehicles that meant a whole range of vehicles on the road and the race had other vehicles thrown in fight with holdens and Ford entries. ...It was exciting and I looked forward to it each year watching from 7.30am till it finished. Now no Hardy's heroes no pit crew races and not much fun in an overall context. The one thing I am glad we don't see now is the tow trucks travelling along the course after an accident which was always a really too dangerous venture.

Richard Scared the wife and kids in my VS a couple of years ago and almost wiped out the posty van on Conrod at 160kmh. Slow run but as I went out of MUrrays towards the Uni the cops were coming in. Good times!!

Jack Shreddr It's all about competitiveness between Ford and Holden now which is growing old. Some people are losing interest now. What they need to really do is actually have a serious grid, not just these two makes. Bring back the other manufacturers, they were great to watch also. Even the GTR, which everybody hated because they... couldn't accept the fact it was caning everybody else. Come on guys, have some real taste for more than two manufacturers.

Brocky Mcgrath "BATHURST", No other place like it, the best motor racing circuit there is,, nothing compares to Mt Panorama. With the Bathurst 1000, 161 laps around a 6.213 kilometre circuit, it is full on, what use to be an enduro, is now 1000 kilometre sprint race. So many overseas drivers have thought, they will come to Mt Panoram...a and kick arse, but they are gob smacked as to how demanding this track is. Even the veterans, who have raced it for years, still find it a task which is hard to master. NEVER BEEN??? i say go, you will enjoy.

Nico Cummins If you have never watched Bathurst or any other V8 race, then your not AUSTRALIAN!!!

Rosalyn FORDS RULE!

Melinda Smith Have been going to Bathurst religiously for the past 7 or so years. It is the ultimate place to be if you have fuel running through ur veins. I met my soon to be husband there; discovered my passion for motorsport there; and it is the place that holds so many memories of the sports greats.

Scotty Gregory best race and racetrack in the world!

Matt Mingay Bathurst is AWESOME!! Love performing there and love the crowd that attends! i look forward to seeing you all there in 2010 to tear that place up!!

Johny Cornelius my dads old hi ace van would kick all the V8s asses around bathurst....go the ole hi ace

Robin Hardy The Safety Car, Together with Race Control... have collectively stuffed Bathurst. The Great Race was never meant to have the final results manipulated by the stewards bringing out the SC...

Robin Moore Bathurst should be at least twice a year . And they need to do a better job of showing the 12 hour and 24 hour races on TV
