Bay East Association of REALTORS President Obama has signed the Unemployment Insurance Act which includes an extension of the $8,000 tax credit for first-time homebuyers and a new $6,500 credit for existing home owners who purchase a home by April 30, 2010.

Bay East Association of REALTORS The U.S. House of Representatives has approved the Unemployment Insurance bill which includes provisions to extend and expand the home buyer tax credit. According to NAR the President may take action on the bill as early as Friday, November 6. Bay East Association of REALTORS The National Association of REALTORS® is reporting that The Senate has passed the Unemployment Bill which includes provisions to extend and expand the home buyer Tax Credit. According to NAR the House could vote on it on Thursday and it could be on President Obamas desk by Friday.
