Wow I wish I would have read these reviews before I spent the $24 on tickets for my family tonight... especially since I was only there for 3 minutes after paying for them. I understand rules, believe me, BUT I also understand good customer service, which the employees there EVIDENTLY do not. We got there 45 minutes early - when we got out of the car, my husband accidently hit the alarm, which did not sound, but did turn on the lights. We QUICKLY turned them off when we were approached by an employee who said that they needed to be off - we told him what happened and he was walking away when this nasty woman approached us and asked if that was our truck, to which I said yes, and she said VERY NASTY "Cover up the lights or the exit is over there" - again it was 45 minutes before the movie even started....so we left. And sadly, the few times I have been there have been great times for me, but my kids will never have that experience because I refuse to go back to a place where you are treated that way. It's a shame that one employee (possibly more from what I read below) can completely ruin the reputation of the business. I also tried to call the phone number to talk to a manager about what had happened, but after hearing their recording, I doubt they would care anyway. So it's bye bye Benjie's for us.

I haven't even been yet this year. Bengies is a wonderful place but in truth I am very turned off by the negative attitude displayed in the email updates. I work for a county agency that gives public service every day. I understand that it can be difficult to enforce rules and often very frustrating. HOWEVER, there is truth in the old adage about catching more flies with honey and killing people with kindness. It would seem that there are much more effective ways to pleasantly enforce the rules. I also understand the problem with single patrons in cars but it seems that there should be a more effective solution than turning them away as well.

I have to totally second Brian's review. My wife and I have been going to Bengies for years, but the few times we have gone this year, the employee attitude's are horrible! Especially for the security guards! I went a few weeks ago, and as I slowly approached the side of the snack bar building the dorky looking security guy stopped me in my car by waving his arms like an idiot. He very rudely asked me if I could read. I am a grown man with a bachelors degree, and of course I can read. He than began to angrily point at a sign posting the 5 MPH speed limit and said I should learn to read signs. I was going probably 8-10 MPH, but there was not a single person around. He than escorted me to where I parked. We have also seen so many other customers treated very rudely, and it really makes us upset. We feel like you can enforce the rules in a way that is not stand-off'ish, but this seems to be their approach. We are also very unhappy with the new announcement of "Bengies" cola. We will continue to go, but they really need to step up the customer service. It is also really frustrating when the owner comes over the car radio and announces that it would be easier for him to sell the place than to stay in business, like he is doing us a service. If you are that unhappy, sell the place! Hope things pick-up soon! Aloha!

used to be a great place, seems like employee attitude towards customers is extremely poor this year.
