I'm painting my apartment with Aura matte, and bath & spa , exelent paint!!!

I just gave a speech to weeks ago on the power of color! You should have posted this sooner! I used a lot of information I got at the Color Foundations seminar you held for retailers a few years ago. Very fun stuff!

I actually knew the lawyer that wrote the famous "no brown M&Ms backstage" clause that was in Van Halen's contract with promoters. Maybe that's where the "bad luck" rap started, but I think at the time is was just whim.

I thought the "stop" sign was red because it was mostly viewed against green and would stand out from landscapes the most - but, it was probably whim too! Just goes to show ya, there are no rules!

Just beautiful - I have to find a room in my home for Olive Branch...such a perfect color.

After proper preparation, my best advise is to know your products. Even(the good) pros read the can sometimes. Talk to your supplier, ask questions about performace like " how does temperature effect the dry time" ect...

Can anyone recommend a good brush to use with Aura?

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! Just to clarify, I currently have Million Dollar Red on the walls and my granite is BLACK not green as it appears in the photo. Keep the suggestions coming :).

It's a great color.

I am a color consultant in Westchester County, New York. I recommend BM paints all the time. My clients always comment on the funny names of the paint. All consultations end with a printed paint spec sheet. Ironically one client ended up using colors with a beach theme! White Sand, Soft Sky, Boardwalk, Cotton Candy and Baked Pretzel!

The walls are white (as opposed to another shade of yellow) to give the eye some rest. It balances the palette, but still is considered monochromatic. Another beige/yellow would be too much. Knowing when to stop (editing) is the hardest part of color/design, interior, exterior and fashion.

Hmm.mm I live in metro Detroit area, so i guess it'd have to be Coney Dog Red or maybe Amber Beer. How about Saunder's Hot Fudge? Or a pale yellow the color of Vernor's Ginger Ale? or of course there's always Faygo Redpop Red... not as sophisticated but still fun

I disagree with Aaron. I recently bought my first house and used Aura through out. I have not done much painting in my life and I found the Aura VERY fool proof. I used the Aura roller covers and the extra firm nylon polyester brush. Just follow the instructions and you will experience great results!

Aura Matte is forgiving to some degree but the eggshell and semi gloss sheens will leave "boxing" and "striping" if you do not maintain a wet edge and do not lay off correctly.

The Aura roller covers are the same as Purdy white dove covers.

I also use the Extra Firm brushes from Wooster.

I grew up with white walls. There are NO WHITE walls in my home.

I had Mary Poppins wallpaper. I loved it. The colors I remember growning up with was white and soft celery green in my furniture

I've emailed Benj Moore twice. I was trying to find out if you could vote once, or once a day, or what the rules were. I didn't ever get a response! hmmm hard to enter or vote when you don't know what the rules are!
