I do agree with the ending of strip mining. we should go back to deep mining instead... however unhealthy it may be, it does provide work for the people who live there.... with out mining, there is no other way for people to work there. ... Read Morethere are no interstates, no factories, no rail ways..... there is no future in the mountains.... i am originally from Whitesburg Ky... S.E. KY..... I had no choice but to move from the home i grew up in. I had to move away from friends and family because I chose not to go into mining... Even with a college degree, where would I use it in the mountains? would appreciate any encouraging remarks.... lets think of ways to end poverty in the mountains....
