Best Radio You Have Never Heard

Scott Hess

Scott Hess Perry, just listened to an oldie, LOTTA FREAKS, and I have to say it felt like such a lovingly crafted ride from start to finish. Really loved it, and I thank you. Your incidental banter was also welcome, which is more than I can say for almost every other DJ/host/personality I've heard since way back when. (I do remem...ber loving this Mike Halloran guy back in my Detroit days, but it's been years and years.)

Cheers!

Hey thanks Scott for listening and for leaving a comment. Glad you dug the show. With the voluminous back catalog, "Lotta Freaks" seems so funny referred to as an oldie already. But do hit up the back catalog. I am always proud to point out, in those 125 or so eighty minute episodes, I still bet I haven't repeated ten identical tracks yet dating back to 2005, when BRYHNH got started.

And do tell a friend about the show as well !

Is the impending induction of Genesis the beginning of progressive rock getting its long-denied due from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?

Robert,
Billy Batts and I are both referring to Jethro Tull winning a Grammy in 1988 in the Heavy Metal category over Metallica's "And Justice For All . . ." LP.
In 1992, when Metallica finally won the first of six Grammys, the '88 loss was not forgotten. In his acceptance speech, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich told the audience, "Thanks to Jethro Tull for not putting out an album this year."

Best Radio You Have Never Heard Can we start our own list here of who has been overlooked . . . ?

Gosh, I sure can’t think of anyone Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-worthy these days, can you? Surely, all of the artists deserving of this honor have already received their dues. What’s that? Harry ...

If Genesis is getting in on the "strength" of their 80's material, I suppose there is hope for Yes after all.

Best Radio You Have Never Heard

Best Radio You Have Never Heard First podcast of 2010 due in less than 12 hours. All I can say, you should of heard the one that got away. You know, the one that was completely finished when I went to bed at 2:00 AM last night? Some people have nocturnal emissions. I have nocturnal inspirations. This bodes well for for shows up the road in 2010 . . .

Best Radio You Have Never Heard The answer is: ABSOLUTELY !

And a quote from http://comic-con.movietome.com
also states:

"Any self-respecting prog fan will immediately think of Roger Dean's artwork on Yes album covers; even more so"

io9.com
James Cameron spent years creating Avatar's floating islands and crazy dragons, and then an army of concept artists brought them to life. But maybe they had some inspiration from somewhere else? Like classic album-cover artist Roger Dean? Behold the evidence.
