Jim Fellow BGSU Alums: I was at BGSU yesterday and used the rec center. I am disgusted by the neglectful condition of equipment in the center's weight room and am asking you to help me in a crusade to get this situation changed in short order. It is clear to me that much of the equipment has not been properly maintained fo...r a number of years. Basic health and safety are at risk for students. As a BGSU student I tolerated a lot of bad conduct on the part of the administration, but assumed things had changed. Student (and community/visitor) health and wellness are at risk because the managers of the SRC are not even performing basic upkeep of the weight equipment. I only worked out there once. In my opinion the shabby condition of the equipment is an immediate risk to those who have to use it every day. Please contact me directly if you can help me bring about this change in short order. Someone has to stand up for students - they can't do it on their own.
