But do read An Imperfect Offering: Humanitarian Action in the Twenty-First Century (2008) by James Orbinski, former President of Doctors without Borders who accepted the Nobel Peace Prize on its behalf in 1999. He'll tell you that the countries that humanitarian organizations seek toi aid deliberaly choke off that aid, even if it means the deaths of hundreds of thousands of their own people. There's also a film teling the same story, but it would be much more difficult to get your hands on.

Debate? In the countries where they already have a history of drying fish for better storage and transport, this foundation could help them update their aquaculture practices. Woods Hole Oceanographic and Marine Biology Lab are doing great things with periphyton in Haiti - Hillary's husband Bill is involved in Haiti - do what works instead of glorifying debate, debate, debate.

i know the Milleniun development funds mean good but i also belive there has to be supervission of the projects they are funding 'cause in the end in countries like mine (El Salvador C.A.) a large percentage of the funds are actually stolen or missused it is a shame but it's also a reality

Even though how an organization or a foundation that is asking for grants may appear reliable, check and balance can only be ensured through proper accounting procedures. Stewardship of money is what defines the meaning and worth of Charity. Charity without accountability is irresponsible investment.
