With the focus this week on the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, said it is an opportune time for her to announce she is co-sponsoring a Senate carbon reduction bill that she sees as innovative and beneficial to all of New England.

Bowman Gray One of Blue Hill's greatest assets is MERI (Marine Environmental Research Institute). If you have not been on one of the eco-tours, you must go. Here is a slide show from this last July. http://web.me.com/bowmangray/Bowman_Gray/MERI_2009.html

Karen Vance

Karen Vance I lived in Blue Hill on Turkey Farm Road back in '88. It was the best year of my life. I am orginally from the South. Mainers would ask me if I was, "From Away." I now live in Texas and I must say, I miss Maine so much. If any of you live in Blue Hill, can you please send me some pics, especially of town? I want to see... how much has changed over the years.

At the time I lived in Blue Hill, I attended St. Francis by the Sea Church. Can you believe that church started in the old town hall!! I was there! I was also there when the church was purchased and stood inside in awe.

Now, there was one of the best Pizza resturants called "Pie in the Sky." Is it still there?

Any other pics you can send me of Blue Hill, Surry, Bar Harbor would be greatly appreciated. I can't find my books on Miane down here in Texas. I am also looking for Maine pen pals.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Karen Vance

Wayne Brewster Worked out here in 1997 as a shingle sawyer. Local family,I want to say Roberts owned a little cedar saw mill just out of town. Can anyone enlighten me on the name of the family that owned the mill?

I was scrolling through here, and noticed your comment. My father and grandfather were the owners of the mill, just suprising what a small world it is.
