Boston Bar Association Some 1,200 were on hand to hear keynote remarks by John Payton, President and Director-Counsel, NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. Meg Connolly (VLP) was the John G. Brooks Legal Services Award recipient, and Mintz Levin was the Thurgood Marshall Award recipient.
Boston Bar Association The first program in a series designed to help new lawyers and law students find ways to gain practical experience and bolster legal skills in a shrinking economy. It featured representatives from a number of non-profit and legal services organization who spoke to attendees about different ways they can use their law degree and about volunteer opportunities for meaningful engagement.
