Michelle Van Caneghem 10/24/09 saw Mike Grgych and George M. Taber who reported on the Judgment of Paris '73. His story about the tasting has been called “the most significant news story ever written about wine”. I recently visited Grgych Hills Estate Winery in Napa and had the honor to meet Mike Grgich. He was the winemaker and limited partner at Chateau Montelena. His 1973 vintage Chardonnay was selected for competition in the historic Paris Wine Tasting of 1976, where it was ranked the number one white wine.
