Gordon Watson ABC 2 Breakfast should use QR Codes to send viewers to specific landing pages or to specific messages. The QR Codes are free to generate, and the QR Code reader applications are available on all major phones.

Gordon Watson Can we put the India student issue in perspective please. Although a stabbing crime should not be tolerated, to put this issue in perspective i would be asking, why is the Indian government singling out Australia when it comes to the security of their citizens? How does Australia compare to other nations such as the UK..., Canada, and the USA when it comes to this issue, pretty well i would imagine - Australia is a diverse and relatively safe society which i love, like any thing, it is the tiny few which ruin the reputation of the majority.

I agree. India has 87 murders per day yet none appear in their news headlines. Their murder rate is 2.8/100K vs our 1.2/100K. I think its possibly a caste thing. The Indian murders are mostly low caste therefore don't matter. Its only higher caste families that can afford to send student to Oz?? Just a theory . Or the Indian government is attempting to deflect attention away from its own failures at home?

ABC News Breakfast A Facebook group called "Mate Speak English, You're in Australia Now" hosts hundreds of rants from young Australians targetting different cultures. What do you think about calls to close down racist forums on Facebook?

Andy

Andy Excellent discussion about Facebook social networking groups. I have witnessed online discussions among my friends (and friends of those friends) in the public forum that could be viewed as bullying and inappropriate. Keep the discussion on this topic going. We do not want to shut down the social networking sites or... encourage censorship, we need to educate ourselves as a society how to use society networking for positive social change.

Any murder is terrible but----Why is it that a country with more than 2ce the murder rate of Australia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_intentional_homicide_rate
only seems to call events news worthy when they happen here? Why is it that the indian government and media seems to think that their methods for preventing and catching ... See Morethe culprits is better than ours? I suspect that they have such a problem at home they are grateful for the opportunity to distract attention from their own problem.

Frank Holland I find it hard to beleive that no-one in the media seems to be on top of this http://stephen-conroy.com/news.php

I find it scary! It needs airing. Regardless of your position on net filtering the degree and speed of censorship is scary--like China
