There is a time in every life where there is a season of waiting and change. It made sense for Embercity to write about such times as they transitioned to a new name, a new record label, a new sound, and a new perspective. On their Break of Day Records debut release, Waiting For June, Embercity tells a story of just th...at….waiting, change, conflicts and hope. These songs reflect the process the band has gone through as a whole and as individuals. The band started in 2008 under the name The Set Apart when lead singer John Youngs and drummer Kyle Nelson joined what Travis Zumstein and Jeremy Koering had started in 2007. The changes brought a fresh potential to the band, bringing the band to a whole new level. Now with the pursuit of their first EP under their belt, Embercity looks to begin touring and playing shows all around the Northwest and beyond. Embercity has already clocked in time touring to California and playing with acts such as: The Classic Crime (Tooth & Nail), Fallstar (Come&Live), and many others.Read More
