Promo News has been established by David Knight, former editor of Promo magazine. From 1992 until it ceased publication in mid-2007, Promo was the bible of the British music video industry and the most authoritative publication anywhere on its subject, covering thousands of videos and interviewing hundreds of director...s – music video directing greats and up-and-comers alike – about their work. Knight has also been a guiding hand behind the CADS, the big awards show for British music videos, since it began in 1996.
