On December 7, 2009, buildOn, together with several other agencies, is partnering with The Overlake School, in Redmond, WA as it hosts Nicholas Kristof, New York Times columnist and co-author of "Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide". Mr. Kristof will be speaking from 7:30-8:30 p.m. at ...Overlake.

Vanessa Liles buildOn would like to thank The New York Women’s Foundation and Girl’s Inc for inviting eight of buildOn NY’s finest young ladies to develop stronger leadership skills at their Annual Girl’s Leadership Day at Hunter College in Manhattan. The girls went to workshops on budgeting, credit, giving back, and preparing for ...college. There was also a networking lunch where the girls sat with professional women in finance positions or entrepreneurs where they all shared who they were and their life decisions that led them to their current success. Pictured are Stanisha, Elizabeth, LaShawanna, Roseena, and Danisia and they attend International Arts and Business high school and School for Human Rights in Brooklyn, Manhattan Center for Math and Science and Health Opportunities High School in the Bronx. Thanks Ladies!
