But Now You Know
"A few bad apples spoil it for everyone" is not a valid basis for violating rights, but instead the motto of tyrants and slaves, to justify doing so. Punish the few abusers for their violations, rather than everyone through guilt by association.

Yes, whenever the sagging economy comes up, or the foreign quagmires, Obama blames Bush. And certain talk show hosts have defensive hysterics over that. But, unlike neocons at Fox and on the radio, and other advocates of Big Brothernment, true Conservatives have no problem at all with this, for tw...

Yes, his going from "No nation building" to neocon sociopath was one of the most blatant and insane reversals since FDR ran on balancing the budget and staying out of WWII.

What could move a Conservative advocate of Liberty to commend Barack Obama on a policy decision? How about taking perhaps the first significant pro-freedom action by a president since Reagan?Obama has pretty much failed the “peace” part of his campaign/policy promises…which is r...

The typical second earner in a household does not even bring home enough to pay for the first earner's taxes...and yet we wonder why "greedy" parents spend all day working, instead of spending the family time that reduces teen problems and produces better adults later?

That’s how, for example, car insurance works. If you’re careful and lucky, you’ll “waste” money on it your whole life, and never need to make a claim. You are just pooling a risk with everyone else, and only a few of you should need to cash it in, per year.

Sidney Steinhaeufel After being a union worker, non-union worker ,manager and self-employed I can tell you that unions do not matter to the good employees. It is the bottom 10-15% who cling to it. With unions, favoritism runs rampant. It is far worse than any company I have ever worked for. If you are in the "in" group or in the majo...rity race or ethnicity the union will fight for a real good for nothing employee. If not, you are better off in an open shop by far.

Also, the basic idea that the worker is too ignorant to stand up for themselves is degrading.

We’re told by teachers, politicians, and the media that unions are the best thing ever to happen to people who work. Without them, we’d all be working 80 hour weeks, for pennies per hour, and dying by 30 from how dangerous the conditions are. An...
