"A few bad apples spoil it for everyone" is not a valid basis for violating rights, but instead the motto of tyrants and slaves, to justify doing so. Punish the few abusers for their violations, rather than everyone through guilt by association.

After being a union worker, non-union worker ,manager and self-employed I can tell you that unions do not matter to the good employees. It is the bottom 10-15% who cling to it. With unions, favoritism runs rampant. It is far worse than any company I have ever worked for. If you are in the "in" group or in the majo...rity race or ethnicity the union will fight for a real good for nothing employee. If not, you are better off in an open shop by far.
Also, the basic idea that the worker is too ignorant to stand up for themselves is degrading.
