California's Great America Off-Season rehab work has begun. This crane is pulling out a few of the mechanical parts which make Drop Tower function.

^^True, but as far as replacing mechanical parts, that's what rehab is for. Trains are removed and brought into shops. Worn parts are replaced.

^Sky Swing, really called a Screamin Swing, is/was a ride at Knotts (and a few other parks) much like a giant swing set that's powered by air.

Not sure where this one's at.

Tay are there going to be anymore themed rides next year? My friends and i are huge fans of the Haunt, and we preactically live there when its on. Personally, i think you guys should have it run from september into october. i'd definetly still be going. are there going to be any more themed rides like camp gunnagetcha?

Billy D'Anjou Finally got this video project done, for you all to enjoy! Gone through numerous conversions to optomize for sharing. Anyway, what seems like a normal amusement park
during the day is actually ran by monsters as night falls. Just watch
out as they like to 'play' with their guests by terrorizing them!

http://www.youtube.co...m/watch?v=GVM5Zc-kr7M

And Kudos to the monsters who (unplanned) interacted with the camera and of course chasing my cousin! So yea, enjoy!

Screamin Swing anyone? Wonder how true this article is...and why LA knows before we do. Screamin Swing does look fun though.

It would be nice if no upcharge. They've already got 2 upcharges: The sky coaster, and the go-karts. I guess if it's a $5 ride, it's not too bad.

Having coaster withdrawls already and it hasn't even been any more than a week yet. Thanks for the No Limits program for virtual coaster riding fun during the off-season...plus, all my photos I snapped during the season.

I wouldnt. Six Flags and Cedar Fair are in competition with each other. However, I would call SFGAm an alternate universe Great America. Chicago people can probably also consider ours as an alternate universe GA as well.

My cousin has said this every time riding the Carousel, stating that you guys should run it in reverse (I've seen it go reverse to realign itself at the end of its cycle, so is it possible?) and have backwards carousel music during Haunt.
