The 2008 Honda Accord is the latest, newest, worst vehicle ... mostly due to brake problems. Owners also say the seats are so uncomfortable, they would return the car if they could.

CarComplaints.com Sudden unintended acceleration from an 04 Camry owner:

"As I applied the brakes prior to reaching the cement parking stop I heard and felt a quick surge from the engine. My first thought was to hit the brake and try to get the transmission in park. No way! The car quickly jumped the cement parking stop like a bucking bull."

There's a lot of bad things going on with Toyotas and Corp Toyota is sticking their heads in the sand. Very sad as Toyota used to be a great name.

After the information I got today online I wouldn't buy another Ford if they offered it to me for $10.00. I'd still be overpaying!

OH MY GOSH!!!! YES!!! I had same issues at 30,000 miles and again at 60,000 miles!!! I found out when I went to stop that , rotors were yanking us around and giving us slow whiplash!!
Took it to the dealer they fixed all under warranty and told me to lay off the brake that I stop too quickly and I was ruining my brakes and rotors! So I took the advice at once and babied my brakes, the same problem with my brakes were gone again, and dangerous to drive at 55,000 miles according to the Honda dealership.... Read More
I'm a single mom of three without any help, trying to make it threw school, I cant afford to keep having issues with my car. I have driven Honda's for the last 15 years for this reason. That they were well built. I have NEVER had an issue with a vehicle from the "way I drive it".
I had the same car but 2003, drove it to 50,000 before trading it for this one, and I NEVER had to put anything except tires on any of my Honda's!!!!!!! 2005 HONDA ACCORD EX V-6 is a lemon, and the dealers now it and keep telling you its your fault for how you drive it! WRONG!!!

William: good thinking, but for the complaints I featured, people either specifically mention they had no aftermarket wiring OR there's enough fire complaints for the same vehicle -- pointing a finger at Pontiac here -- that it's pretty clear there's a defect from the factory.

The 2008 Honda Accord receives THREE TIMES more complaints each day than any other vehicle. The '08 Accord is the only car in existence where the rear brakes wear out well before the front. Owners report the front brakes are 100% worn & grinding with the rear brakes 15-30% worn, at low mileage. The word is Honda switch...ed to smaller rear rotors to cut manufacturing costs. And to lose a lot of customers, apparently.Read More

CarComplaints.com The 1997-2000 Pontiac Grand Prix has a pretty awful defect where the engine compartment catches on fire while the car is parked. If you own one, consider parking outside rather than in your garage. Better yet, buy a different car.

CarComplaints.com The Ford Explorer has a very common defect where the plastic panel under the rear window cracks for no reason. The cracks usually show up right around the Ford logo... essentially a super-visible "DON'T BUY A FORD" warning to everyone who happens to be following a Ford Explorer.

Another issue with the 2003 explorer is the paint coming off hood, roof and sometime the lift gate. Ford made these parts out of aluminum but somehow during the manufacturing process they were contaminated with steel. Ford will do nothing to remedy this. I have purchased my last Ford product

Dodge Ram trucks, vans & some sedans have a defect where the dashboard cracks apart after only a few years. The worst models are Dodge trucks from 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 & 2003, but it looks like the newer models through 2007 still have the same defect... it takes 3-5 years for the plastic to disintegrate & start crack...ing. And by "cracking", we mean large pieces of the dash fall off. The photos show the full story.
