I do not understand people like the first commenter whose name is Brooke. What are you talking about? "Precisely the reason why the violence in Congo continues...”? Are you serious? Explain that please. Also, why in the world would you support something as ridiculous as "Buy Nothing Day"?
Do you not understand economics?

How in the world can Brooke be against computers when she surely used one to create her posting??? As with anything, excess is a problem and common sense a solution.

This Thursday, Americans will celebrate Thanksgiving, a celebration of harvest. Thanksgiving has come to be a wonderful time to gather with family and friends, and to reflect on the things for which we are most grateful. It also has an interesting history.

Everyone benefits when women around the world are educated. If you think about it, every tyrant that ever lived owes his life to a WOMAN. He wouldn't have been born in order to suppress his people if not for a WOMAN. Do we get any thanks? NO! Just abuse or death in return.
