Edd In 1969, he organized a commune in San Francisco called the House of Love and Prayer. As many as 40 people lived there during the 1970s. Other Carlebach-style communities sprung up in Los Angeles (Or Chadash) and Israel (Mishav Meot Midin, a communal farm). I was lucky enough to meet him and hang out on the great lawn ...of Santa Rosa Junior College in those daze.Shlomo would come North from San Francisco spreading the word and Love of the Universe and we would cut classes and play.Oh Happy Days!
