Ocean Frontiers, Ltd. NUMBER 20!!! For Cpt. Sean Crothers... He culled yet another lionfish from Playing Fields today. Unfortunately this one had already done some damage as could be seen post-capture, when the lionfish actually expelled a part of what he had eaten. We weren't quite able to make out what it was, but perhaps some sort of mollusk??? CONGRATS SEAN!

Ocean Frontiers, Ltd. days like today... all 3 boats headed North for pristine conditions! Reports from Eastern Skies included unlimited visibility, 2 turtles and juvenile trumpetfish on Split Rock.. AND at Snapper Hole.....a surpising population of silversides left!!

Ocean Frontiers, Ltd. You've asked for it, so we're giving it to you! Here we see Captain Sean Crothers capture his 14th lionfish. To date, Ocean Frontiers has removed nearly 50 of these voracious invaders from Cayman waters. Come on down and join the hunt! Special thanks to Jim Leavitt and the boys for pointing this one out!

Ocean Frontiers, Ltd. Take the 'Green Short Challenge' Dive all East End Dive sites and earn your pair. Just like earning your 'stripes' - but in a diver kind of way. Starting Jan 1st 2010 - more details to follow on the all special favors that come with the honor...

Ocean Frontiers, Ltd. RAIN OR SHINE! No matter what the weather, the diving's always good...!! Visibility on the corner was 100'+ at The Maze as our first cold front of the season rolled in a few days ago. Kiteboarders are happy catching epic sessions with the steady winds. Divers are happy as we duck around the corner to get to calmer waters. We're committed to taking you to the best spots whatever the weather may be!

Ocean Frontiers, Ltd. And another one... for Cpt. Sean Crothers! Sean maintains his legacy as expert lionfish culler. The lionfish seem to be getting bigger by the day, which they probably are as they are devouring the juvenile critters. At least this is one that can't do any more damage.. Every fish makes a difference!

OH NO! At Breaker's Cutback we saw 3, count 'em THREE lionfish. Two large adults which eluded Cpt. Jason Kerr. But not before he caught the juvenile pictured below..
We know where they live.

Ocean Frontiers, Ltd. OH YES! We are happily taking advantage of the calm days.... yesterday Frank Sound Gardens.. Today: BREAKER'S CUT BACK!

Ocean Frontiers, Ltd. Have you been there??? One of those dive sites we can only get to when the conditions are right.. plenty of time, calm seas on the south and of course happy divers ;) Yesterday at FRANK SOUND GARDENS, we saw treats galore! FOUR nurse sharks, THREE stingrays and ONE moray eel! Divers were averting their eyes from the shark by the last one.... Have you been there? Ask about it on your next trip here!

Ocean Frontiers, Ltd. Our biggest one yet! Cpt. Jason Kerr is doing his part to keep the lionfish under control. He expertly culled one from Old Isaac's that had been eluding the OF cullers for weeks. Once caught, it turns out he's the biggest one we've seen. Lengthwise measuring about 7 inches, but most impressively was the size of his stomach. Good thing we got him out of there before more damage could be done!

Ocean Frontiers, Ltd. It's the little things that matter! At least that was the case at Fish Tank this morning! A fingerprint cyphoma, a pair of purple-crowned sea goddesses, lettuce leaf sea slugs, and an itsy-bitsy juvenile trunkfish, not to mention multiple juvenile spotted drums! Just a spotted drum photo for now (Elly's lens is too wide to capture anything smaller!). Upload your own photos to share!
