John Muravez I just watched that call Kurtis report on Best's Buys Geek Squad. I seen this type of stuff before both with there work on computers and HDTV install. They charge rates that are just gross and they do a shotty service.

I have fixed four installs in the last year because of there shotty HDTV work. The ones who did the w...ork didn't even have a contractors lic and get by the rules because they run extension type cord in walls. I do all my installs under my father lic with him running real romex and installing a real outlet behind the TV. I would suggest looking else where before paying 1500+ on a HDTV install or there 100 a hour rate for computers. Plus they rip you off in the cable department as well with selling 9 ft hdmi cables for 50 to150 bucks. goto monoprice.com and get is for 10 bucks.

They try the scam of signal loss so you need gold ends and stuff and its crap. Gold isn't that great to start and with a digital connection like HDMI is then its transmitting 0's and 1's it either works or it doesn't. Its not like the old days where the signal was a modulation of power or frequency where the signal would fail over longer runs. ... See MorePeople are doing 50 to 100ft runs of HDMI with zero issues.

Only reason gold and silver plating was used was back in the old days connectors were tin or other soft metal and the extra metal would help them not break apart or rust. Back then it was mainly only used by bands who unplugged and plugged in a lot.

Laurence E Hearn Homeless poeple keep getting ticketed and chased away in Sacramento for illegal camping. Why is it then okay for people with homes and jobs to camp illegally in front of places like Best Buy for 3 days? Why aren't the police citing them and chasing them away? $$$$$$$$$$$ MONEY!!!!!

Gennifer Van Wetter I just got through watching the 5 o'clock news, (DVR) I've got a off beat question for you, "...hundreds received free turkeys for Thanksgiving dinner given away at local food bank..." Anybody wonder how or where they are planing on cooking them? I mean if you aren't able to buy a bird,... How many "Soup Kitchens" are ...there out there to feed the ‘homeless’ a Hot Meal for Thanksgiving, which cannot cook their own…?

Hi Gennifer - my understanding is that many of the people waiting in to get turkeys have homes, just not enough money to put a Thanksgiving meal on the table. There are several local churches and a few shelters that are serving meals to the homeless... Thanks for weighing in and Happy Thanksgiving!

John Muravez I really feel bad for the familys of the two kids murdered in cold blood. I still think he should have got the death sentence. Three young people died because of his actions. I feel so bad for there parents. I think the defence Lawyer needs to step down. To even think of filing a appel is gross. Its not like the kid ...didnt ammit to it and all the evidence pointed right to him.
