  • Just watched this year's VMA's. I was so massively underwhelmed that I think I may have slipped into a coma at one point. Thank God there is so much more to music than this mindless drivel. #somebodypleasechangemydiaper

      • Ariel Nixon I really like good dubstep. It is becoming more popular these days. I agree with Klayton.

      • Damon Alexander Morningstar Yeah I've never bothered to watch the VMA's because 'so-called popular' music is nothing but corporate manufactured garbage for the dull-minded consumers of this dead, soulless, consumerist, materialistic, zombie/idoit society that we currently occupy

      • Neko Tenshi ‎1,000,000% agree-this should depress you more: it was the highest rated in the history of VMAs :-O

      • Jerry Zacharatos I even cut all those music channels a few years back. Don't get me started lol

      • Panther Herrington Stopped watching shows like this years ago...not true...not realistic...boring music....insincere pats on the back to all...disappointment to those who really tried...etc.. Glad real life doesn't depend on shows like this. :)

I KNOW, right Klay? I TOTALLY feel you, my man. I didn’t even watch em this year. Truthfully, I don’t watch any award shows anymore, not even the big ones like the Oscars or Grammys; haven’t since I think either my sophmore or junior year i...n high school. Tried watchin’ again though in 2009 jus’ for ol’ times sake for the MTV Movie Awards for that year, but EVERY SINGLE CATEGORY was DOMINATED by Twilight (which as I, probably you, and everyone else who agrees with me knows is also drivel, especially since I’m a dire vamp fan m’self), oh my LORD. Save for that one gap in 2009, I stop watchin’ ANY award shows ever since to this day, for reals. It’s pointless and a waste of two to three hours of time. *changes his diaper* See? Good as new! :D :D :D Won’t take away the staleness of this years VMAs, but at least you’ll feel fresher :3 :D!See More

      • Andrew Ladaena no fucking shit. hence why i, and the band i'm in, don't give 2 shits about all that. just keep being true to yourself, as ALL true artists should, and stay out of the bullshit...

      • Ozzie Ozymandias Ramirez Klayton, little do you know, intergalactic species religiously play your music as a form of communication and daily life. You maybe under appreciated in this earth, but in the universe... You're kinda like god
        August 31, 2011 at 9:21pm
      • Kathlin Meere I didn't even know the VMAs were on until they were over. That's how much I cared. lol

      • Little Jenn I kind of liked it, really. Not the best music, but the performances were amazing!
        August 31, 2011 at 9:37pm
      • Graceful Demon Honnestly, only Gaga's performance was worth watching. It was a real waste on that show because she was way too good for the bloody terrible thing.

      • Hayden Kellogg It made me lose just a little more faith in humanity. Teen women pretty much dominate what is pop music.
        August 31, 2011 at 10:39pm
      • Jaco Grib I didn't even know what the VMA's were til now 8|
Klayton, just see here how many fans of good music don't care about that stuff. I'm pretty sure if we could bear watching the show despite the other artists, they be the ones underwhelmed :)

      • Angelika Bogár oh i still remember when slipknot won a grammy and Corey said:I'm gonna use it as dorstop in my bathroom.I know it has not much to do with vma,but this was my first thought,so I wanted to share it!

      • Greg Gressa WTF does Bieber have to with music anyway? Why was he even on there let alone won an "award??" MTV is an effin joke - they don't even play videos like the old days...just asinine"reality" shows.. I want my MTV! GD it. Totally irrelevant "awards".

      • Dianne Beatty You know, it would have been easier to kiss your ass if you hadn't mentioned the diaper thing... ;p (but yeah, a lot of mainstream music is done to make a buck as opposed to being inspired)

      • John O' Kelly Gaga is a twat...when you need that many gimmicks to sell your music you're obviously not a great singer. Adele just needed a piano, that's talent, Gaga is just a bad circus act.

      • Mark Mathers MTV is the Tanya Harding of the world. Taking America out at the knees by promoting the most shallow parts of human nature, fostering the most hollow greed and pushing an agenda that's ground into every spoonful of cool they feed to children. MTV, dumbing down America since 1981.

      • Joe Clark The thread here makes me think of MSI's "Mark David Chapman" (song based on the sick joke that there are too many bands and not enough MDCs) which got me thinking even further.....

I would love for Klay and MSI to collaborate on anything.
        September 1, 2011 at 10:47am
      • Shane Brown I agree but you have to admit Adele's performance was top notch and her voice is by far the best of anyone on that stage! I liked her since before she got popular though... I didnt waste my time watching the VMA's though ,I did a google search and watched her online :D

      • DalanJe Estes ok Adele is pretty cool bc she ACTUALLY sings. I turned off the sound for part of it and played "Idiot" and some Drivepilot.
