Charles City County Library Campaign November 14 366 Infantry, Company I by Author Harold E. Russell, Jr 10:30 am at the New Kent Branch (Rt. 155 and Interstate 64 near Dairy Queen). Russell's new book tells the story of his experiences from Private to First Sergeant in an all African American Infantry fighting in World War II. The Richmond Police Department is mourning the untimely passing of one of its officers. Officer Dwight Hardwick, 28, a two-and-a-half-year veteran of the Department, assigned to Third Precinct, passed away Friday night after feeling ill at his residence. Hardwick was off-duty at the time. Please keep his family in your prayers.

CHARLES CITY, VA (WWBT) - Dive teams are searching for a 16-year-old boy who was last seen swimming in the James River near Lawrence Lewis, Jr. Park in Charles City County. We're told the teen disappeared underwater while swimming this afternoon.
